Kodak provide the data sources for mid volume scanners on the distribution CD that ships with the scanner. Currently, the latest data source for this platforms is: Version 2.2.30 for the mid volume scanners (included with the mid volume scanner diagnostics). At this time the mid volume data source is TWAIN 1.9 compliant, and is a 32 bit data source. Since version 2.1.18, the mid volume scanner diagnostics have supported the use of Kofax Adrenaline boards via the TWAIN Data Source. In order to use the Diagnostics Application with the Adrenaline boards, Image Controls v3.3 and the Adrenaline KODAK Diagnostic Driver must be loaded. Please refer to the Readme file included with the diagnostics for further details. There are also patches to Image Controls 3.3 for the Scanner 3520 and Scanner 4500 for multi-feed detection. After installing the latest SVT on your Host PC, then return to this page, to upgrade the Firmware as follows:Installation Instructions:Click on i100 Firmware v01.0012 (1.2 MB) and download the file to a temporary directory on your C drive.Double click on the file to extract the firmware files. By default the files are placed in the `C:/Temp` directory. Or, you can enter the directory of your choice. For ease of installation we recommend using C:WINNT wain_32kodakkds_i100Firmware.Click on the `Unzip` button to extract the files. You can now delete the i100FW_vxxxxx.exe file to save space on your PC.Next, use the Scan Validation Tool to download the i100_xxxxxx.ekpgfw file from the directory selected in the previous step. You will find the Download button under the Setup tab of the SVT.After the download has completed, power the scanner off, and then back on.To activate the new features of the scanner you MUST perform a scanner calibration. We strongly recommend you do this immediately after installing the firmware and rebooting.The Firmware version can be checked by selecting the `Info` tab of the SVT. | |
